Excellent Managers, Excellent Leaders:
You must be able to lead. You need to set vision, motivate people to follow, be strategic and drive the organization through your passion for your business and customers. But, you must also be able to manage. No matter what level, the ability to lead, truly understand the business and manage people all at the same time, is the critical combination that results in excellence for you personally and for your organization overall.
In this session, participants will:
- Identify strengths, areas of competence and areas of development
- Determine next steps on how to confirm or correct their self view
- Gain ideas on how to create an individual development plan that addresses targeted development areas
- Inventory the most critical learning experiences and extract lessons
- Understand what to do with strengths versus weaknesses
As a part of this session, participants will get hands on experience with Red Rooster Consulting’s Manager/Leader Continuum. This assessment tool is comprised of three major competency areas: leadership, understanding the business, and managing people. For each competency area there are specific behaviors and attributes against which participants will self rate. Participants will leave with a new view of their role and self and an action plan for development.
